CICU signs MoU with GNDEC

Ludhiana: Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College, Ludhiana.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President said that CICU has signed a MoU with GNDPC to bridge the gap between Industry and academia. It will help to understand the need of the industry and to solve specific technical industrial problems. He also said that CICU & GNDPC will jointly organize workshops/ seminars in the field of manufacturing technologies, technical education industrial training to promote innovation, optimization, resource penetration in frontier areas and allied issues.
He also highlighted that CICU Experts will mentor & guide the Centre to improve quality of education & training and also set up a collaborative working group, which will provide policy direction to interactive efforts.
Surinder Singh Ubhi, Principal Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College, Ludhiana said CICU & GNDPC will work together on preparing young entrepreneurs from community, so as to address problems relevant to changing technological needs including design, development, skill enhancement, implementation and review of curriculum and resource materials.
He also said that GNDPC jointly plan continuing educational programs to keep the practicing engineers and faculty abreast development in their respective fields and arrange guest lecturers from GNDPC and industry to broaden understanding.
Gurcharan Singh Gemco, Narinder Bhamra, Satinderjit Singh, Atom, S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU, Gautam Malhotra were also present in meeting.
