CICU Organized 2nd 360° Industrial Safety Expo & Conference at Ludhiana

Ludhiana, May 24, 2026: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), in association with NDRF, Punjab Fire & Emergency Services, Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI), and Punjab Institute of Fire & Safety Management, successfully organized the “2nd 360° Industrial Safety Expo & Conference” at CICU Complex, Ludhiana. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from industrialists, safety professionals, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, students, and representatives from various manufacturing sectors. The objective of the expo was to create awareness regarding industrial safety, emergency preparedness, fire prevention systems, workplace hazard management, rescue operations, and adoption of advanced safety technologies in industries. The day-long exhibition and conference served as a comprehensive platform to promote a strong culture of safety and preparedness within the industrial ecosystem.
The exhibition remained open full day, while special rescue demonstrations, mock drills, and CPR training sessions were conducted in evening, drawing huge attention from participants and visitors. The conference commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting followed by an introduction to the importance of industrial safety in modern manufacturing units. One of the major highlights of the event was the live rescue drill conducted jointly by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Punjab Fire & Emergency Services. The demonstrations showcased advanced rescue techniques, emergency evacuation methods, disaster response preparedness, and fire-fighting mechanisms required during industrial accidents and emergencies.
The CPR and first-response training session conducted by the Punjab Institute of Fire & Safety Management received overwhelming appreciation from participants. Industry representatives actively participated in hands-on demonstrations to understand life-saving techniques and emergency medical response systems that can help save lives during workplace incidents. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nagendra Narayan, President, FSAI Chandigarh Chapter, emphasized that industrial safety is no longer optional but an essential responsibility for every organization. He highlighted the increasing need for industries to adopt modern safety infrastructure, periodic training programs, and emergency preparedness systems to minimize industrial risks.
Pankaj Sharma, Deputy Commandant, NDRF, elaborated on disaster management preparedness and shared valuable insights regarding industrial emergency handling. He stressed the importance of coordination between industries and emergency response agencies for effective crisis management. Mr. Sanjeev Bhardwaj from Chitkara University Punjab highlighted the growing role of safety education, research, and technological advancements in improving industrial working conditions. He encouraged industries to integrate safety training into organizational culture.
Abhilash Sharma, Director, Punjab Institute of Fire & Safety Management, conducted an informative session on fire safety compliance, risk assessment, emergency planning, and workplace safety protocols. He also guided participants on the importance of regular mock drills and employee training. Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, welcomed all delegates, industry representatives, exhibitors, and guests. He stated that CICU has always remained committed towards strengthening the MSME sector by organizing practical and knowledge-oriented programs that directly benefit industries. The exhibition showcased a wide range of advanced industrial safety solutions including fire safety systems, PPE and protective gear, smart surveillance technologies, automation and AI-based safety systems, emergency response equipment, rescue tools, and industrial monitoring solutions. The expo also provided an opportunity for industries to connect directly with suppliers, technology providers, and safety consultants.
