Chandigarh: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today condemned the attack on the BJP meeting in Rajpura and said it was daylight murder of democracy in Punjab.

In a statement he said BJP's political rivals,  be it the Congress,  AAP , Akalis or CPI , under the garb of farmers have been throttling the voice of the BJP in Punjab.

Chugh lambasted the Amarinder Singh government for allowing such elements a free run in the state.

" These goonda elements in the name of farmers have held the state to ransom and have plotted against the  BJP, " Chugh said.

He demanded the chief minister Amarinder Singh to give strict directions to the police to throw such elements behind the bars.

Chugh said the  BJP was following Constituonal and democratic norms and it's reprehensible that anti democratic forces were having a field day.
