Chandigarh, October 16, 2025: While International brands rule the roost in the area of golf equipment, a home-grown brand ‘Pinakin’ has bucked the trend. Pinakin, has made ‘Make in India in the game of golf’ a reality with the unveiling of its first product: a revolutionary interchangeable wedge system which are also called specialized iron clubs. Combining precision engineering with the heritage of Indian craftsmanship, this wedge is designed to offer golfers unprecedented flexibility and performance around the greens. The Pinakin wedge system is the result of extensive R&D and rigorous on-course testing.

Notably, in golf, wedges are a type of specialized iron clubs with the highest loft and shortest shaft, used for the short game such as approach shots, chip shots, and shots from bunkers or hazards.

It is pertinent to state here that, professional golfer known for his strong golf equipment knowledge, and his work in club fitting, Gurbaaz Mann, is a Co-Founder at Pinakin. According to Mann, “The ultimate test for any club is performance. We engineered this modular system to offer players the flexibility to better perform in different turf conditions. Whether it’s a firm fairway or soft sand, our system allows for precise adjustments that translate directly to a better short game."
