Chandigarh, June 30, 2026: Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has successfully met the highest power demand recorded so far this year, with the city's peak load reaching 461 MW.
With summer temperatures continuing to rise, the peak power demand is expected to surpass this mark in the coming days.
Despite the sustained summer heat and increased electricity consumption, CPDL has efficiently maintained a reliable and uninterrupted power supply across Chandigarh through proactive planning, continuous system monitoring, and dedicated network management. The utility has remained focused on operational excellence to ensure consistent service and grid reliability during the peak summer season.
To ensure seamless operations during periods of high demand, CPDL has proactively undertaken preventive maintenance of key distribution assets, including transformers and feeders.
