Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri Signs MoU with National Stock Exchange

Mohali, December 13, 2022: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri joined hands with the National Stock Exchange for establishing a FinTech lab at the campus to make students cognizant of the stock market. The MoU would facilitate collaborations in the form of student and faculty exchange, jointly organized events and research initiatives. It gives a big thrust in higher education and this partnership comes at an opportune time to make big strides. In the meantime, senior official highlighted specific areas of collaboration wherein they talked about the things they have much to offer each other.

Apart from this expert talk on the National Stock Exchange: Chartering the Path for Career opportunities in BFSI Sector was also organised at the moment. Abhishek Dave, Chief Manager, Northern Region, National Stock Exchange was key note speaker at the moment.  It commenced with the introduction of the NSE and its functionality. His  presentation was entirely based on financial products which incorporated ETF, mutual funds, derivatives. He also gave information   about the paradigm shift from traditional trading to modern trading on stock exchanges. He also acquainted our students with financial terminologies such as Arbitrage, NIFTY 50 and how the settlement of transactions is done. Later he made students aware about more than 40 certificate courses run by NSE academy limited.

Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President of CGC Jhanjeri said at the moment  that our focus is  to make our students industry ready. Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director stated that such collaborations ensure that  we stay updated with the upcoming trends. He  further added that now students will be able to work on live updates and working relevant to the stock market.
