Mohali, September 12, 2025: Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC) at Chandigarh University, Mohali, successfully hosted a two-day national seminar under the AICTE-VAANI 2.0 scheme. The event brought together academic leaders, researchers, and professionals to share their knowledge and insights on two of the most dynamic technologies shaping the future: AI and Data Science. The seminar's primary objective was to elevate the standard of technical education by presenting advanced engineering concepts in regional languages. This initiative not only aligns with the goals of the AICTE-VAANI 2.0 scheme but also reflects CEC Jhanjeri's crucial role in contributing to India's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

Over the two-day period, nine technical sessions were held, covering various topics related to Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in the context of Industry 5.0. The event saw participation from more than 60 individuals from different colleges, who benefited from a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical industry applications.

Speakers provided a detailed discussion on the opportunities and challenges associated with Industry 5.0, focusing on topics such as the ethical use of AI, data-driven decision-making, and cross-disciplinary applications. The core focus was to demonstrate how AI and Data Science can be used to not only increase efficiency but also to build sustainable, inclusive, and responsible digital systems for the future.
