CGC Jhanjeri hosted Toycathon-21 

Mohali: CGC Jhanjeri was selected as  nodal centre for Toycathon -21, which was organized by The Indian government for motivating the innovative mind to conceptualize novel toys and games based on Indian civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos. Students are invited to develop new board games, outdoor games and digital   games. The competition was held online where students from different states participated.

On the first day there was an inauguration ceremony, honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his virtual address on you tube informed that  the designs of the available toys and gaming modules are  against the Indian ethos and values as they foster violence and distresse. He further pitched for improving the country’s economic aspects of the toy and gaming industry.

Saurabh Jain ex-president, Paytm was invited as a chief guest of the event and motivated participants with his inspiring speech. For the two days there were different monitoring sessions which were followed up by evaluation sessions where participants set to work at once in a fixed time based on the ideas given by the evaluators for the improvement of their projects.

Students from different states enthusiastically took part in the event. They were evaluated by judges from different places and by the HOD’s of different branches of the college. It was a fair evaluation. All the announcements and messages were sent to the students. On the last day the results for semi-finals were announced

The judges from different states evaluated the   finals along with the HOD’s of the college. Concluding day valedictory function was organized by the college where all the mentors and students were awarded for their participation and success for Toycathon by the college. All the teams thanked the ministries for hosting a creativity enhancing event for the betterment of the society.
