Census 2027: Self Enumeration to start in Ludhiana from April 30 to May 14, 2026
District Census Officer-cum- Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonam Singh informed that Self Enumeration (SE) under the upcoming Census 2027 will be conducted in the district from April 30, 2026 to May 14, 2026.
Ludhiana, April 29, 2026: District Census Officer-cum- Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonam Singh informed that Self Enumeration (SE) under the upcoming Census 2027 will be conducted in the district from April 30, 2026 to May 14, 2026.
Singh stated that this citizen-friendly digital initiative allows every resident to conveniently submit their household Census details online from the comfort of their homes through the official portal se.census.gov.in using only their mobile number and OTP.

1. Visit the official portal: *se.census.gov.in*
2. Register or Login using your mobile number
3. Verify with the received OTP
4. Fill in the household and family details
5. Mark the location of your house on the map, if required
6. Submit the form and save the generated *SE ID* for future reference

The Additional Deputy Commissioner appealed to all residents of Ludhiana district to actively participate in this Self Enumeration process and complete their household details at the earliest. She also urged the public to spread awareness about this facility among family members, friends, neighbours, and through WhatsApp groups, social media platforms, and local community networks. She added that Accurate and timely Census data is crucial for effective planning of schools, hospitals, roads, housing, employment opportunities, and various welfare schemes that will shape the future of our district and the nation.
