Siblings are often our first friends, fiercest rivals, and lifelong pillars of support. From childhood mischief to standing by each other through life’s ups and downs, the bond between siblings is truly one of a kind. This National Siblings Day, Sony SAB actors Samridh Bawa, Sachin Chaudhary and Akshaya Hindalkar reflect on their personal experiences, sharing heartfelt anecdotes and what this special relationship means to them.
Samridh Bawa, playing the role of Ashwin in Pushpa Impossible, “The relationship you share with your siblings is one of the most honest ones. There’s no filter, no pretense just pure, raw connection. I remember growing up; we would fight over the smallest things but also stand up for each other when it truly mattered. Even today, they are my biggest support system. In Pushpa Impossible I’m playing the role of Rashi’s brother, and our equation is also very real. Off screen too, we’re like a family, constantly joking together and just enjoying ourselves. It’s a bond that evolves with time but never loses its essence.”
Sachin Kavetham, playing the role of Siddhu in Itti Si Khushi, “For me, siblings represent a sense of home. No matter where life takes you, they’re the ones who keep you grounded. Some of my fondest memories are the simplest ones like sharing meals, laughing over inside jokes, and even those silly arguments that didn’t last long. In Itti Si Khushi as well, it’s fun to shoot with my onscreen siblings, we share a great bond and its amazing to be around them. Especially Sumbul, is always there to guide me. National Siblings Day is a beautiful opportunity to pause and appreciate that constant presence in our lives.”
Akshaya Hindalkar, playing the role of Rashi in Pushpa Impossible, “Siblings have a unique way of understanding you without needing too many words. They’re your biggest cheerleaders and the ones who’ll call you out when needed. I’ve always valued honesty and warmth in my relationship with my siblings. It’s a bond filled with love, learning, and endless memories, and I feel incredibly grateful for it every day. Playing Chirag’s sister on screen feels effortless, and off screen as well, there’s a genuine warmth between us we’re always chatting, sharing food, and enjoying the time on set.”
As these actors beautifully express, sibling relationships are woven with love, laughter, and lifelong memories, making them truly irreplaceable.
