Phillaur, June 2, 2023: A two-day ‘Capacity Building Programme’ under the aegis of DAV CAE for teachers of Jalandhar Zone concluded at DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur on 2.6.2023 for Primary to Senior Secondary teachers for the subjects of Maths, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, and EEDP I-II.
The workshop was graced by the presence of eminent accessors Cluster Head and Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, the resource persons Niza and Silky (EEDP I-II), Amita Rathore and Anjali Sharma (Maths for classes III-V) , Sonia Kukreja and Rajesh (Maths for classes VI-VIII), Sanjeev Gujral and Harkamal (Maths for classes IX-X), Pushpinder (Maths for classes XI- XII), Neetu Gupta (Accountancy for classes XI – XII), Veena Aeri and Chander Mohini (Business Studies for classes XI-XII) and Vandana and Mr. Balwinder Singh (Economics for classes XI-XII).
It was indeed a matter of great honour for 124 teachers of seven DAV schools of Jalandhar Zone to be a part of this enrichment programme. All the resource persons discussed important need areas like ‘competency based questions, ‘latest exam patterns’, ‘common errors done by the students’, ‘analysis of XII board paper’ , ‘framing of case study based questions and incorporation of SDGs in teaching’, ‘art-integrated activities’ under the stewardship of the ARO Dr. Rashmi Vij and Cluster Head Dr. Yogesh Gambhir. The Resource Persons presented the assigned topics in a very interactive way .Undoubtedly, each and every session was fruitful, knowledge enriching and engaging.
The Principal cum Cluster Head Dr. Yogesh Gambhir thanked the resource persons and delegates and hopped that these in-service training workshops will equip the teachers to deal with the learners in a better way. He told the teachers that no method is the best method, a teacher has to adopt the method of teaching according to need, age and the content for teaching. He added that learning is lifelong activity and DAV organization offers the best platform. So, the teachers must be interested always to learn every day something new.
