Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond inaugurates construction of rural link roads' project worth Rs 2.23 crores in Khanna
Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Tuesday inaugurated the project of constructing rural link roads worth Rs 2.23 crores in the Khanna.
Khanna, (Ludhiana) Oct 28, 2025: Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Tuesday inaugurated the project of constructing rural link roads worth Rs 2.23 crores in the Khanna.
These rural link roads include Kheri Nodh Singh to Manak Majra, Luhar Majra to Dadheri, Kheri Nodh Singh Road to Alipur to Dadheri to Ismailpur and from Ismailpur to Kotla Ajner.
Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is actively working to provide world-class basic infrastructure to the people of the state. He stated that more development projects will be launched in Khanna in the coming days.
The Minister further added that the repair and re-carpeting of roads, damaged due to rains have been started on a war footing in the Khanna, and the construction of link roads will be completed within the next few days. He informed that strict instructions have been issued to the concerned departmental officers to ensure the quality of the roads under construction.
Sond emphasized that providing urban-like basic amenities to rural residents is a top priority of the Mann government. Therefore, the construction of village link roads was started immediately after the monsoon season ended, so that people do not face any kind of inconvenience.
A large number of village panch-sarpanches, local residents, and officers from the concerned departments were present on the occasion.
