Hamare Ram" play to be staged for two days at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, on September 25 and 26: Hardeep Singh Mundian

Ludhiana, September 22, 2026: As part of an important initiative to promote rich cultural heritage and traditional values, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is organising "Hamare Ram" play across the state. As part of this, 4 shows (2 shows daily) will be held on September 25 and 26 at the Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium in Punjab Agricultural University, here.
While addressing a press conference, Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board Advisor Deepak Bali appealed to the residents of Ludhiana district to participate in large numbers to watch the play and witness this magnificent presentation based on the life, ideals, and eternal message of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Ram. They said that passes for this play can be obtained for free from BookMyShow, as well as from the offices of MLAs and the district administration. 
Present on the occasion were MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Madan Lal Bagga, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, Vijay Sharma (President, Sanatan Seva Samiti), Pankaj Sharda (Chairman, Brahmin Welfare Board), Chairman Jatinder Singh Khangura, and Varun Mehta, besides others.
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Deepak Bali stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is taking the message of Sanatan to the people through the epic of Ramayana, and an effort is being made to pass on the life and teachings of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Ram to the new generation.
Hardeep Singh Mundian said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government respects the personal faiths of the people and has always organized grand events rising above religious beliefs. Continuing this, the government has marked occasions like the 350th martyrdom day anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and the 650th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, while also respecting Sanatan Dharma by organizing events like "Ek Sham Bhagwan Shiv Ke Sang" and staging the "Hamare Ram" play.
Hardeep Singh Mundian and Deepak Bali shared that a total of 41 performances of the "Hamare Ram" play are taking place across Punjab, and 4 performances are being held at the Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium in Punjab Agricultural University on September 25 and 26 (at 2 PM and 6 PM daily). Complete arrangements for lights and sound have been finalized for the screening of these shows.
They stated that "Hamare Ram" produced by Felicity Theatre is a comprehensive Hindi stage production that brings the epic Ramayana to life through captivating visuals, aerial stunts, and state-of-the-art stage arrangements. The play stars renowned actor Ashutosh Rana as Ravana and Rahul R. Bhuchar as Lord Ram.
Highlighting the uniqueness of the play, Tourism Advisor Deepak Bali said that unlike traditional perspectives, "Hamare Ram" presents the Ramayana from unique and untouched viewpoints. The story begins with Lav and Kush confronting Lord Ram after Sita Mata's separation and is narrated through the supernatural perspective of Surya Dev (the Sun God), offering audiences a fresh interpretation of this revered epic.
They mentioned that the purpose of these performances is to promote India's spiritual, cultural, and moral heritage among the younger generation, alongside promoting and expanding world-class theatrical art. They added that this comprehensive dramatic presentation combines music, visual effects, and modern technology to create a unique cultural experience that will appeal to audiences across all sections of society.
