Khanna (Ludhiana), March 30, 2026: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Monday stated that Punjab has witnessed revolutionary changes in the health, education, employment, industrial sectors, and civic infrastructure in four-year regime of AAP government. 
Addressing a gathering during the Samvad  programme held at village Ishanpur, Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government has fulfilled every single promise made to the people. He highlighted that significant change has been brought out in the health field. He further added that to empower women economically, a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1000 will be provided to women of the general category and Rs 1,500 to women belonging to the Scheduled Caste category. In the education sector, crores of rupees have been spent to transform government schools. He added that government jobs have been given without any recommendation or favouritism. To strengthen law and order, a massive campaign Yudh Nashyea Virudh was launched, and strict action has been taken against those involved in the drug trade. Basic infrastructure has been strengthened by spending crores of rupees. He pointed out that the Punjab Government is providing free electricity up to 600 units to 90 per cent of households, giving great relief to the people. 
Talking about farmers’ welfare, Sond said that for the first time in Punjab, electricity is being supplied for agricultural purposes during daytime. Additionally, the canal irrigation system has been strengthened, and canal water is now being provided to nearly 80 per cent of the fields. This will reduce dependence on groundwater and help improve the water table. He further informed that a free pilgrimage scheme has been started for senior citizens above 50 years of age as a mark of respect to them. Besides this, eligible families are being provided essential ration items every month 2 kg dal, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, 200 grams turmeric, and 1 kg mustard oil.
