Cabinet Minister Sond inaugurates development works worth Rs 35.20 lakh in Khanna 

In a significant move to strengthen civic infrastructure and address the issue of water shortage, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Friday inaugurated development works in Ward No. 22 worth Rs 35.20 lakh. Under the project, a tubewell will be installed to provide clean and safe drinking water.

Khanna (Ludhiana), Sep 19, 2025: In a significant move to strengthen civic infrastructure and address the issue of water shortage, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Friday inaugurated development works in Ward No. 22 worth Rs 35.20 lakh. Under the project, a tubewell will be installed to provide clean and safe drinking water. 
Speaking at the event, Sond commenced the tubewell project, which will be completed within two months. He highlighted that the area had been facing water shortage in the past, and this new tubewell addresses the long-standing demand of the residents to ensure they face no difficulties. The project will ensure regular water supply for the local community. 
Sond further stated that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to resolving the challenges faced by the people. He emphasized that the promises made to voters during elections are being fulfilled one by one. He added that the government is focused on resolving grassroots issues. This initiative is not merely about infrastructure; it is about dignity and improving quality of life.
