Ludhiana, April 5, 2026: Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora on Sunday underscored that the eternal messages of non-violence, compassion, brotherhood, and harmony preached by Jain Tirthankaras continue to serve as a guiding light for all of humanity, especially in an era marked by global conflicts and violence.
Participating in the ‘Prabhu Mahavir Bhakti Utsav’ event organized at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan here, Arora highlighted the profound relevance of Jainism—one of the world’s oldest religions—in promoting peace and ethical living. He lauded the Jain community’s significant contributions to nation-building, education, healthcare, and philanthropy, noting that its members have consistently championed values of peace, positive energy, and the welfare of all living beings.
“Lord Mahavira’s timeless principles of truth, non-violence, compassion offer a clear and much-needed path forward in today’s turbulent world,” Arora said. He pointed out that in a time when wars, terrorism, communal tensions, and ideological conflicts dominate headlines, Mahavira’s philosophy of live and let live provides a powerful message.
The Minister added that embracing these values can help curb materialism, reduce greed-driven conflicts, and foster a more equitable and compassionate society.
The Cabinet Minister expressed gratitude to the Shri All India Shwetamber Sthanakwasi Jain Conference for organizing the ‘Prabhu Mahavir Bhakti Utsav’ and for their continued efforts in spreading Lord Mahavira’s message of universal brotherhood and non-violence.
Prominent amongst those present included Mayor Principal Inderjeet Kaur, Deepanshu Jain, Rajeev Jain, Vinay Jain, Gaurav Jain, Jinesh Jain, Kunal Jain and others.
