BSF recover 4-Kg heroin after brief exchange of fire with Pakistani smugglers along Border

Ferozepur, October 14, 2017: Alert troops of BSF today recovered four packets of Heroin along the zero line of Indo-Pakistan Border close to Border Outpost ( BoP) JN Mohmmad following brief exchange of fire with Pak intruders during wee hours. Officials from the BSF Ferozepur Sector said that the BSF sentinels belonging to 77 Battalion deputed at BoP JN Mohammad observed some suspicious movement of Pakistani smugglers on the other side of the security fence. When Pakistnai smugglers approached near border security fence with intention to carry out smuggling, the BSF troops challenged them to stop but the smugglers continued with their aggressive posture and fired up on BSF troops. The BSF troops who were monitoring the intruders from their post through might vision devices challenged the smugglers and opened fire at them. However, the smugglers managed to retreat back taking cover of the darkness and thick sirkanda growth”, said BSF Officials.
It is pertinent to mention here that more than 164 Kg heroin has been recovered from Ferozepur Sector this year till now.
