Mumbai: The India International Exchange (IFSC) Limited (India INX), India’s first international exchange based in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) today launched a new co-location data centre at the exchange.
 
Shri. Injeti Srinivas, Chairman International Financial Services Centre Authority, inaugurated the new co-location data centre at India INX. Shri. Ashishkumar Chauhan, Chairman, India INX and MD & CEO, BSE along with Shri. V Balasubramaniam, MD & CEO, India INX were also present for the ceremony held at India INX office.
 
With this, the Exchange capacity of the colocation facility has been expanded by more than 150%. High-frequency trading takes place at these data centres and, to a large extent, the existing co-location data centre has been utilized. This newly-launched facility is in addition to the existing colocation data centre and has been initiated due to the increasing demand witnessed from the Members. It is tier-III equivalent colocation data centre facility adjoining to existing datacentre.  Additional racks have been added, which will cater to additional quarters for Members.
