BRICS Spreads Wings at Exporters’ Meet in Jalandhar
Industry leaders explore global opportunities; Punjab BRICS President Deepak Shukla holds key interactions
Jalandhar, November15, 2025: The BRICS Trade & Commerce platform expanded its outreach at the Exporters’ Meet held in Jalandhar, where industry stakeholders from Punjab engaged in extensive discussions on boosting international trade. The event saw active participation from manufacturers, industrialists and exporters across the region.
Punjab BRICS President Deepak Shukla led the delegation and interacted with several prominent companies, underscoring BRICS’ commitment to strengthening trade ties and opening new global avenues for Indian manufacturers.
Shukla held detailed discussions with Victor, Gripwell Forging & Tools, Delite Industries, and representatives from multiple other firms known for their presence in the forging, hand-tools, manufacturing and export sectors. The focus remained on identifying new market linkages, enhancing supply-chain connections, and bringing more MSMEs into the BRICS global trade network.
Calling Punjab a “powerhouse of manufacturing excellence,” Shukla emphasised that BRICS is creating new corridors for exports in sectors such as industrial tools, engineering goods, sports goods, textiles and agro-based products. “This platform is helping SMEs and exporters explore markets across BRICS nations and beyond, unlocking real global potential for Punjab’s industries,” he noted during the interactions.
Participants expressed optimism that BRICS’ expanded engagement would help them overcome trade barriers, connect with international buyers and diversify export destinations.
The Exporters’ Meet concluded with a commitment from both BRICS representatives and industry leaders to intensify collaboration, organise sector-specific delegations, and host more trade facilitation events in Punjab in the coming months.
