Brahma Kumaris’ Global Peace House shows interest in setting up Rajyoga Thought Lab at PU

Chandigarh, January 7, 2026: Brahma Kumaris’ Global Peace House has evinced interest in setting up a Rajyoga Thought Lab on the Panjab University (PU) campus.
Director, Brahma Kumaris’ Global Peace House, B.K. Anita Didi ji, along with her team, met PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig to deliberate on the establishment of a Rajyoga Thought Lab at the PU campus. The interaction focused on integrating structured mental well-being and value-based learning within the higher education ecosystem.
B.K. Anita Didi ji shared the conceptual framework of the Rajyoga Thought Lab, an experiential and reflective space designed to help students understand, regulate and positively channel their thoughts through Rajyoga meditation, self-reflection and guided practices. The initiative aligns with the growing need to address student mental health, emotional resilience and inner balance alongside academic excellence.
The team apprised the university of the proposed structure of the Thought Lab, including dedicated spaces for meditation, counselling and workshops, and outlined its potential contribution to holistic student development. They also highlighted their experience in conducting meditation programmes, leadership workshops and value-based initiatives across educational institutions and organisations in India.
As per the proposal, the Rajyoga Thought Lab is envisaged as a structured experiential space aimed at supporting students’ mental well-being alongside academic learning, with a focus on guided meditation, self-reflection and value-based practices.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Namita Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Women); Prof. Anil Monga, NEP Coordinator; Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Deputy Librarian, A.C. Joshi Library; and Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat, Chairperson, Centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University.
