Book discussion of Lt Gen (Dr) K J Singh’S Book “General’S Jottings: National Security, Conflicts and Strategies” at Centre for Police Administration
The Centre for Police Administration in collaboration with National Cadet Corps, Panjab University, Chandigarh and GyanSetu Think Tank today organised the book discussion on the book titled “General’s Jottings: National Security, Conflicts and Strategies” authored by Lt.Gen (Dr.) K.J.Singh in the Seminar Hall of the Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, February 13, 2025: The Centre for Police Administration in collaboration with National Cadet Corps, Panjab University, Chandigarh and GyanSetu Think Tank today organised the book discussion on the book titled “General’s Jottings: National Security, Conflicts and Strategies” authored by Lt.Gen (Dr.) K.J.Singh in the Seminar Hall of the Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The discussion began with the welcome address of Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh who welcomed the Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Arun K. Grover, Former Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Speaker, Lt. Gen (Dr.) K.J.Singh, PVSM, AVSM and Bar (Veteran) for the book discussion.
During the book discussion, Lt. Gen (Dr.) K.J.Singh covered all important contemporary issues of national and global security. He illustrated the ‘whole of nation’ approach to national security that entailed participation by all to build the Comprehensive National Power (CNP) that included Armed forces, Police force, agencies and entire citizenry. The discussion focused on Citizen Warriors concept and provided simple format and basic primer along with a template to understand otherwise complex issues.
Later, Prof. (Dr.) Arun K. Grover, Guest of Honour highlighted the significance of nurturing inter-institutional cooperation where academic luminaries should share their wisdom for emerging universities as Think Tanks of innovation and research to provide resources for achieving national goals. He emphasised the significance of sustainable universities to promote all-round development of academics.
The formal vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Monga, Senior Faculty, Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The book discussion was attended by a total of 75 participants that included senior faculty members from sister departments of Panjab University, guest faculty, research scholars, students of the Centre and NCC cadets, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
