Dharamshala, December 2, 2025: The BJP has decided to hold its December 4 protest rally at Zorawar Singh Stadium, rejecting the administration’s advice to shift the event to the Police Ground due to expected large crowds.
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and State BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal inspected the venue on Saturday and reviewed preparations. Thakur said the rally will showcase public anger against the Sukhu government and expose its “anti-people failures.”
Dr. Bindal’s personal involvement in planning—from reviewing arrangements to finalizing flex and hoarding designs—has drawn attention and boosted enthusiasm among party workers.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu remarked that Zorawar Stadium has a capacity of only 4,000, while BJP claims 10,000 people will attend, making the Police Ground a more suitable option.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bindal accused the government of three years of “systemic collapse,” citing rising crime, poor health and education services, school closures, and misuse of state resources.
BJP leaders Sumit Sharma and Dr. Vishal Nehariya also criticized the government for failing to fulfill its election guarantees and for mismanaging disaster response, law and order, and public welfare schemes.
