Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab seems to have finally decided to go for the next Punjab Assembly polls alone by fielding 117 Candidates in 2022. It is clear that after the series of meetings when B.J.P. senior leaders Saudan Singh, National Vice President B.J.P., B.L. Santhosh National General Secretary (Organization)  B.J.P., Dushyant Kumar Gautam M.P. National General Secretary B.J.P. and In charge of Punjab Political Affairs, Dr Narinder Singh, National Secretary B.J.P. and Co-Incharge of B.J.P.Punjab Political Affairs, Ashwani Sharma B.J.P. State President Punjab, Dinesh Kumar, State General Secretary (Organization) Punjab chaired series of meetings with the party’s senior leaders and the office-bearers . The main focus is on winning the Punjab Assembly elections and to form its own government in Punjab. The national B.J.P. leaders focused on strengthening the units of the organization up to booth level and to carry out mass contact programme with the masses highlighting policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. After the break-up with the S.A.D. (B), B.J.P workers are leaving no stone unturned in strengthening the organizational structure. After the series of meetings, the result seems now clear that with the announcement of suspension of Former Minister Punjab Anil Joshi from B.J.P. for six years giving a clear signal to all those to refrain from negative thinking on the Farmers Bills and with positive approach and thinking towards the Farmers Bills they should gear up and highlight the policies in the rural areas specially the farmers through mass contact programmes. Rajesh Bagha and Dayal Singh Sodhi have been appointed as State General Secretaries as both of them were at present Vice Presidents of B.J.P. Punjab in the present organizational structure. Now, after the suspension of Anil Joshi, hectic political activities cannot be ruled out by the deserving candidates from Amritsar North Constituency from where Joshi had been the official candidate of B.J.P. and represented two times as M.L.A. Earlier, Dr Baldev Chawla used to contest from Amritsar North Seat and his seat was cancelled and was allotted to Joshi. As speculations cannot be ruled out that Dr Baldev Chawla may try for his son, other aspirants who are interested will also try their fate to grab the ticket from Amritsar (North).
