BJP manifesto bundle of lies: Cong Spokesperson
Rajiv Sharma, Spokesman Chandigarh Congress.

Chandigarh, December 17, 2021: Chandigarh Congress has termed the election manifesto released by Chandigarh BJP as a bundle of lies.
In a statement issued by Rajiv Sharma, spokesman Chandigarh Congress said that only a few weeks ago, Banwari Lal Purohit had categorically stated that all constructions outside Lal doras in villages shall be pulled down as it was an eyesore for a city like Chandigarh. The land so cleared of rural housing shall be given for land pooling and aggregation. This means that the Chandigarh Administration under Union Home minister Amit Shah has no plans to regularize the construction outside Lal dorad, but to use it for commercial purposes under their land pooling and aggregation policy.
In view of such a policy decision by the Chandigarh administration, it is surprising that the BJP has the audacity to promise regularization of the construction outside the lal doras. It is unthinkable that the local BJP shall do anything against any policy of Amit Shah led Chandigarh Administration. It is about time, Chandigarh BJP stopped making fools of the people of Chandigarh, so blatantly.
The party spokesperson further stated that the manifesto is silent about improving the ranking of the city in terms of sanitation and cleanliness. It is a matter of shame that Chandigarh is today ranked at 66th in the country, he added.
It was further stated that the BJP has no plans to improve the miserable condition of city roads and parks, which is a matter of concern.
