BJP, Congress leaders, workers should quit their parties in support of farmers: AAP

Ferozepur: The Ferozepur District In charge of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Bhupinder Kaur, District Secretary Iqbal Singh on Monday said that BJP leaders and workers should quit the party and raise a pitch against Captain-Modi collusion, accusing both Modi and Captain of sabotaging the peasant movement. They had piece of advice to BJP and the Congress leaders and workers, saying they should listen to the voice of their conscience and get rid of the corruption-ridden and duplicitous traditional parties.

The AAP leaders alleged that the Congress, along with the ruling BJP, had been pursuing the agenda of breaking up the peasant movement since day and supporting the patron corporate houses, adding that the beleaguered farmers were fighting their battle for their survival and sustenance on the Delhi borders raving bone-chilling December nights, while the Central government was adopting a stubborn stance towards the 'annadata' and their genuine demands.

He called upon one and all to rise above petty political considerations and raise their voice against Modi and Captain, who were acting against the interests of the beleaguered community.

They said that Aam Aadmi Party had been vehemently opposing the contentious agriculture marketing laws from day one and had openly stood behind  the farmers' cause, which was why the ruling BJP and the captain were indulging in  spreading false propaganda against the Aam Aadmi Party, saying that the AAP had been standing with the farmers before and would continue to support them, despite pulls and pressure from those behind ruining livelihood of the country's 'annadata'.

The AAP leaders said that the Modi government on the one hand wanted the dialogue with the farmers to continue on the other hand the BJP had mounted a vilification campaign against the farmers, by  justifying the black law.

Reacting to the BJP government's statement, the AAP leaders questioned their controversial statement made by its leaders, saying "If the farmers were in the fields, then who are the lakhs of people stranded on the Delhi border and why the Union ministers were coercing them to hold marathon meetings, back to back,  with their leaders. The Modi government should not be under any illusion that farmers are fighting the draconian government in this coldest season with a certain political agenda. The BJP will have to pay a heavy price for this malicious propaganda against farmers", they added.
