Basant Panchmi Celebration at Cambridge International School
“Spring Is In Air, Fresh Blossoms Everywhere” Jalandhar, February 8, 2019: The students of Cambridge International School celebrated Basant Panchami, the auspicious festival of the Hindus which marks the end of the winter season and the onset of spring season in North India. A special assembly was organized on the glorious day and students participated with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour. The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and a prosperous life. A speech was delivered highlighting the importance of the festival in Indian Culture. The poem on the spring season was also recited. Nobody could resist from tapping their feet on the beats of Bhangra. The celebrations went a long way in enhancing the students’ awareness about the Indian culture. On this glorious day all the teachers were dressed in yellow coloured attire. The students relished the yellow food brought by them in their tiffin boxes as well. On this occasion, Chairman LWES Mr Ajay Bhatia, Vice Chairman LWES Mr Nitin Kohli, President LWES Mr Deepak Bhatia, Members of School Management Ms Mona Bhatia and Ms Pooja Bhatia, Senior Executive Director LWES Mr J.K Kohli, CEO LWES Dr Brijesh, Chief Academic Officer LWES Ms Deepa Dogra, Director of Secretariat Ms Geeta Mahajan, Members of Secretariat LWES Ms Meenu Huria, Ms SmitaVerma and Principal Ms Kiranjoth Dhillon enjoyed the celebration and seeked the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.They also extended their wishes for success and prosperity to the staff and students . Overall , it was a day full of celebration and enjoyment.
