Awareness drive on female health held across schools
In collaboration with the district administration, Vatrukh Foundation conducted awareness sessions on female health and menstrual hygiene across various government schools in the district to promote safe hygiene practices and encourage open conversations among young girls.
Ludhiana, May 18, 2026: In collaboration with the district administration, Vatrukh Foundation conducted awareness sessions on female health and menstrual hygiene across various government schools in the district to promote safe hygiene practices and encourage open conversations among young girls. Biodegradable sanitary napkins were also distributed during the initiative.
The awareness sessions were conducted at GHS Heeran, GHS Lal Kalan, GHS Bagli Kalan, GSSS Ikolaha, GSSS Chakoi, GSSS Isru, PM Shri GSSS Rasulra, and GSSS Rajewal. The initiative received a warm and positive response from students as well as school staff.
Students participated enthusiastically, engaging actively and asking thoughtful questions throughout the sessions. Teachers appreciated the effort and emphasized that such awareness programmes are essential, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where discussions around menstrual health often remain limited.
The distribution of biodegradable sanitary napkins was widely appreciated by both students and staff, further reinforcing the importance of sustainable and accessible menstrual hygiene solutions.
