Autodesk Product Workshop at GNA University

Jalandhar, April 8, 2022: GNA University organized 4 days’ workshop “Future of Making Things” in collaboration with Autodesk. More than 250 students of B.Tech Mechanical and Automation Engineering, B.Tech Robotics and Automation Engineering and M.Tech CAD/CAM attended the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to give students an opportunity for real time learning about the Autodesk Product. 

The workshop commenced with a note on the importance of knowledge in CAD software in the present scenario by Mr. Anil Chauhan. Also the importance of Autodesk Product was discussed. The complete insight on modeling procedure with Autodesk Product was presented to the students. During the workshop every student has developed a CAD modeling using the Autodesk Fusion 360 software.  In this workshop, students learned how to create cloud based projects, cloud based data management, 2D sketches, 3D features, and assembly modeling techniques as well as associative detail drawings, and assembly animation.
 Mr. C.R. Tripathy, Dean Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation said that such workshops and interactive session gives a practical exposure to students and help them when they step out to work for the industry. Mr. Tripathy also said, “Students already have good exposure in CAD, CAM, CAE, and RPT Technology so it will be beneficial and advantage for them to have insight to latest technology.” This will provide a good start to the career of the fresh engineers in Global Level.
Upon the completion of workshop, students were gained knowledge about the technologies used in Global as per Industry 4.0. The workshop was concluded with valedictory function. The appreciation certificates were distributed to Best Performer Teams by GNA University and Autodesk representatives.
Mr. Anil Chauhan appreciated S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra the CEO GNA Gears and Pro-Chancellor, GNA University efforts towards continuously providing latest technologies to the budding engineers which will help them in future to achieve their desired goals. Autodesk representatives also discussed with S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra to exposure latest technologies in Autodesk according to the Industry 4.0 scenario.
On the closing note Dr. V. K. Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics GNA University thanked the delegates for workshop and urged the students to take advantage of opinion from the experts. Dr. Rattan also congratulated the Best Performing Teams and all the faculty members for actively participating during the workshop.
