Ludhiana, April 22, 2018: Punjab Cabinet Minister, Bharat Bhushan Ashu was offered salute at the circuit house here on Sunday.
This was his first visit to the city after being sworn-in as the Punjab minister.
On his arrival here, a ceremony was held to give him a ceremonious salute.
Ashu has been allocated the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. And he is still to take over the charge officially.
Those present on the occasion included MLA Sanjay Talwar, Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, Commissioner of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill, Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, Councilor Narinder Sharma and Youth Congress District President Rajiv Raja.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, he said that he would try to work upto the expectations of the Congress party and Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh who have shown confidence in him.
Ashu said that bringing transparency in the department and abolishing corruption would be his priority.
