Arora Stays Ahead in Ludhiana (West) Bypoll; Congress Slips Past BJP in Round 4

The fourth round of counting in the Ludhiana (West) Assembly bypoll has further solidified the lead of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, who secured 1,988 votes in this round, pushing his cumulative total to 10,265 votes.

Ludhiana, June 23, 2025: The fourth round of counting in the Ludhiana (West) Assembly bypoll has further solidified the lead of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, who secured 1,988 votes in this round, pushing his cumulative total to 10,265 votes.
BJP candidate Jiwan Gupta received 1,976 votes in this round, bringing his overall tally to 7,193 votes. Meanwhile, Congress' Bharat Bhushan Ashu polled 2,327 votes, now totaling 7,421 votes, moving ahead of the BJP to take second place overall.
SAD’s Advocate Parupkar Singh Ghuman added 143 votes, taking his total to 2,718 votes.

With a total of 28,175 votes counted so far, Sanjeev Arora holds a clear lead of 2,844 votes over his nearest rival, Bharat Bhushan Ashu. The counting continues and is being closely watched as the contest progresses through further rounds.
