Army College of Nursing celebrates its 12th Annual Day

Jalandhar, May 28, 2017: Army College of Nursing celebrated its 12th Annual Day today at Jalandhar Cantonment. Lieutenant General BS Sahrawat, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps was the Chief Guest for the event. Army college of Nursing was established in August 2005. The college has a record of 100% placement. A total of 125 students of the college have joined the Military Nursing Service till now. A high voltage cultural programme to include Rajasthani Dance, Taandav dance and Bhangra was presented by the students. The General Officer in his address appreciated the college for overall performance, such as achieving ISO 9001 certification, standing amongst first three colleges of university and picking up three out of five trophies in different fields in Western Command. He said that Nursing is one of the noblest of professions and quoted the example of “Florence Nightingale”. He acknowledged the college for being good feeder to Military Nursing Service as well as commissioned officers to Armed forces. He lauded the energy level of students in presenting a well coordinated and planned cultural programme and later awarded prizes to the meritorious students.
