Chandigarh,September 18, 2025: National BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan, said that he sincerely appreciates the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and the Finance Ministry for their tireless efforts in strengthening the economy of our great nation.
He said that their relentless commitment to nation-building, transparency, and good governance has inspired countless citizens, including himself, to stand firm with the Central Government in every initiative aimed at India’s progress.
Grewal told that, despite the difficult global and domestic challenges, the Central Government has always placed the welfare of the common man, professionals, and institutions at the core of its policies. He added that, at such a crucial time, the voices of hardworking professionals across the country must be heard with compassion and understanding.
He further said that tax professionals across India have worked with remarkable dedication and responsibility, successfully completing the filing of non-audit returns even under extraordinary pressures. Yet, the last-minute decision not to extend the due date for filing Tax Audit Reports and Income Tax Returns has created an atmosphere of deep concern and hardship for them.
Grewal told that he is making a humble, heartfelt, and sincere appeal to the Finance Minister, on behalf of his closest well-wishers, tax professionals, and associations from across India, to kindly consider extending the due date for filing Tax Audit Reports and Income Tax Returns beyond 30th September 2025.
He said that such an extension would not only provide much-needed relief to professionals who are the backbone of India’s taxation system but also reinforce the compassionate image of the Government that cares deeply for its citizens and professionals alike.
Grewal added that he has full faith that the Hon’ble Finance Minister, known for her sensitivity, fairness, and wise judgment, will surely take a decision that serves the larger interest of the nation and its hardworking professionals.
Grewal said that his request comes not as a criticism but as a prayerful plea from the heart, keeping in mind the welfare of the Central Government, the general public, tax professionals, and the associations who stand shoulder to shoulder in the journey of building a stronger, more prosperous India.
