Anurag University Celebrates 2nd Convocation Ceremony, Honours Over 2,200 Graduates
A defining day for students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies across Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and Sciences.

Hyderabad, July 19, 2025: In a celebration of achievement, aspirations, and academic excellence, Anurag University hosted its 2nd Convocation Ceremony on Saturday. The event marked a proud milestone for the university and its graduating class of 2025, with over 2,260 students conferred degrees in the presence of family members, university leaders, esteemed guests, and faculty. The ceremony, held at the university’s prestigious APJ Abdul Kalam Hall, was a vibrant gathering of intellect and inspiration. With degrees awarded across three of seven major schools of Anurag University—Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management,—the day stood as a testament to Anurag’s commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders.
The convocation formally began with an academic procession, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the national anthem. The event was presided over by university dignitaries including Dr. P. Rajeshwar Reddy, Chairman, Anurag University, Dr. U.B. Desai, Hon’ble Chancellor; Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor; and S. Neelima, CEO of Anurag University. Delivering the keynote address as Chief Guest was Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In his speech, Prof. Sitharam acknowledged the rapid evolution of the education sector and encouraged graduates to embrace both innovation and social responsibility. “Graduates of Anurag University, your journey ahead is filled with endless possibilities. The education you have received is your foundation. What you build upon it is yours to shape—with curiosity, courage, and a sense of duty. India needs not just thinkers, but doers who can take us forward in science, technology, and humanity,” he said.
Also present as Guest of Honour was Dr. P. Subba Rao, Chairman and MD of Ananth Technologies, a leading name in India’s aerospace and satellite domain. His address highlighted the increasing role young professionals will play in propelling India into a technology-driven future. “The world is looking at India as a hub of innovation. The students graduating today are not just job-seekers—they are future creators. I urge each of you to dream boldly, fail wisely, and lead fearlessly,” he noted.
In her welcome address, Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, reflected on the Class of 2025 and their resilience in navigating an ever-changing global landscape: “At Anurag, we believe in nurturing holistic individuals who are not only academically equipped but socially conscious and emotionally intelligent. This class has exemplified those values. We are proud of their achievements and confident in their journey ahead.”
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. U.B. Desai, Hon’ble Chancellor, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and social contribution: “Convocation is not an end, but a beginning—an opportunity to take your learning into the world and create meaningful impact. I encourage every graduate to stay curious, collaborate, and above all, lead with empathy.” As part of the ceremony, 10 doctoral degrees were awarded, acknowledging cutting-edge research conducted by scholars in key scientific and engineering domains. Over 75 gold medalists and academic toppers were also honoured for their exceptional performance, receiving medals and certificates on stage to loud applause.
Following the awards, the formal distribution of degrees commenced. Students from the School of Engineering were among the first to receive their degrees, followed by students from Pharmacy, Management, Agricultural Sciences, and Medical Sciences. The event drew participation from a wide spectrum of faculty deans and academic leaders including Dr. M. Mutha Reddy (Dean of Examinations), Dr. V. Vijaya Kumar (Dean, School of Engineering), Dr. Balaji Utla (Dean, School of Management), and Dr. Vasudha Bhakshi (Dean, School of Pharmacy), all of whom played key roles in guiding and mentoring the students. The convocation also underscored Anurag University’s strong industry connections and placement track record. With over 10,000 offers since 2021 and 1,500 placements in 2025 alone, the university continues to serve as a launchpad for students pursuing careers in global companies, startups, and research institutions.
In a year that saw rapid shifts in technology and employment trends, Anurag students were hired by top recruiters across fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, healthcare technology, agritech, and business analytics—demonstrating the university’s relevance in a dynamic market. Beyond academics, the convocation also celebrated the growth of character, resilience, and responsibility among students. From engineering labs and pharmacy research to entrepreneurial ventures and social outreach, the Class of 2025 leaves behind a legacy of excellence and impact. As the ceremony concluded with the Chancellor formally declaring the convocation closed, the atmosphere turned celebratory—with graduates tossing their stolls, exchanging hugs, and capturing photos that would define one of the most memorable days of their lives.
