The short film ‘Srijan’ produced by students of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), was screened at the 18th Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The short film 'Srijan', produced by DLC SUPVA has been honoured with the Special Jury Mention Award at the JIFF. Director Hemang Vyas received the award and certificate at the awards ceremony organized by JIFF.

Rohtak, February 23, 2026: The short film ‘Srijan’ produced by students of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), was screened at the 18th Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The short film 'Srijan', produced by DLC SUPVA has been honoured with the Special Jury Mention Award at the JIFF. Director Hemang Vyas received the award and certificate at the awards ceremony organized by JIFF.

Regarding this achievement, Vice Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that this is a matter of pride for the entire SUPVA family. "Srijan," a course film created by students during their studies, is being appreciated at various film festivals. VC Dr. Arya said that the short film 'Srijan', produced by DLC SUPVA, depicts the inner pain of an artist and their creative journey. This short film has proven that works produced by educational institutions can achieve impressive national and international recognition. The film presents a story of art, empathy, and struggle in a way that is very close to reality. Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha also expressed her joy at this achievement and congratulated the students.

FC Mahesh TP from the Film and Television Department said that the award for 'Srijan' at JIFF adds another achievement to the record of SUPVA students. 'Srijan' has previously received accolades at the Dehradun Film Festival, the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival 2026, and the Andhra Pradesh Film Festival 2025.  This 8-minute short film, made by fifth-semester students, is directed by Hemang Vyas. Cinematography is by Happy Kumar, editing by Abhi Vaid, and Kavya Sharma is the art assistant. Sound design is by Pulkit Sharma (audiographer), and art direction is by Chail Sharma (art director) and Sheetal.
