Animal Health and Awareness Camp Organized at Village Kansala on the Directions of DC Sachin Gupta

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, the Animal Husbandry Department organized an Animal Health and Awareness Camp for livestock farmers at the Government Veterinary Hospital in village Kansala under the Pashu Seva Fortnight. The main objective of the camp was to provide free and quality veterinary services to livestock farmers and to disseminate useful and updated information related to animal health, nutrition, and reproduction.

Rohtak, January 16, 2026: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, the Animal Husbandry Department organized an Animal Health and Awareness Camp for livestock farmers at the Government Veterinary Hospital in village Kansala under the Pashu Seva Fortnight. The main objective of the camp was to provide free and quality veterinary services to livestock farmers and to disseminate useful and updated information related to animal health, nutrition, and reproduction.

Notably, DC Sachin Gupta had recently directed the officers of the Animal Husbandry Department to organize such diagnostic and awareness camps during a departmental review meeting. In compliance, the department conducted this camp, in which the team of Dr. Jagbir Malik, Dr. Anupama, and Dr. Vaibhav carried out detailed examinations of animals and ensured timely treatment.

During the camp, a total of 143 animals were examined and treated. Mineral deficiency was detected in 26 animals, which were treated on the spot and provided with mineral supplements. In addition, deworming medicines were administered, and other necessary medications were given as required. Blood samples of some animals were also collected and sent to the laboratory for further investigation to ensure timely diagnosis of diseases. Under reproductive health services, reproductive treatment was provided to 29 animals during the camp.

A livestock farmers’ interaction meeting was also organized during the camp. Farmers were given detailed information on important aspects such as symptoms of mineral deficiency, balanced feeding, regular deworming, vaccination, animal hygiene, and housing management. Officials of the department also shared information about various welfare schemes being implemented by the Animal Husbandry Department. Special emphasis was laid on the benefits available under the Pradhan Mantri Livestock Insurance Scheme.
