All set for launching of Ayushman Bhava' campaign in Ludhiana district- DC Surabhi Malik

Ludhiana, September 12, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik today said that `Ayushman Bhava', a campaign would be launched in the district on September 13, 2023, wherein a series of activities would be held across healthcare establishments to spread awareness among people towards health and fitness.
 
Divulging the details, the DC said that every week special activities including health melas, swacchta abhiyan, blood donation camp, organ donation camp, patient safety awareness, and ayushman sabha would be held during this drive which would end on October 2, 2023. Furthermore, special camps would be held under this campaign to cover maximum number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman scheme, she said, adding that creation and distribution of Ayushman cards of eligible beneficiaries would be done during these camps. Notably, there are as many as 257 health and wellness centres, 17 community health centers in Ludhiana district that would witness these activities during this month.
 
The DC said that during the first week events would be held to spread awareness about non-communicable diseases, second-week events would be about communicable diseases and third-week events to be held to spread awareness on maternal and child care.  On the occasion ADC Jagraon Major Amit Sareen, Assistant Commissioner (General) Upinderjeet Kaur Brar, and other officials were present.
