All Schools and Anganwadi Centres to Reopen in Rohtak District from September 9: DC Sachin Gupta

Deputy Commissioner-cum- Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Sachin Gupta said that in view of the improvement in weather conditions and the normalization of water levels in the district, the closure order for all Government and Private Schools and Anganwadi Centres has been withdrawn. Accordingly, all educational institutions and Anganwadi Centres in Rohtak District will reopen from September 9. This order has been issued in public interest and compliance by all institutions is mandatory.

Rohtak, September 8, 2025: Deputy Commissioner-cum- Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Sachin Gupta said that in view of the improvement in weather conditions and the normalization of water levels in the district, the closure order for all Government and Private Schools and Anganwadi Centres has been withdrawn. Accordingly, all educational institutions and Anganwadi Centres in Rohtak District will reopen from September 9. This order has been issued in public interest and compliance by all institutions is mandatory.

            The Deputy Commissioner has directed all Heads of Institutions to ensure that necessary precautionary measures are taken for the safe resumption of classes from tomorrow. To ensure the safety and smooth functioning of institutions, the institutions have to follow the directions issued by District Administration. According to the advisory issued, all Institutions should remain alert to rainfall or water-logging in and around the premises and take timely preventive action. In case of any incident of water-logging, damage to buildings, or transportation difficulties must be immediately reported to the District Administration or the District Control Room (01262-230401).

It is mentioned that no classes or gatherings should be held in unsafe, waterlogged, or structurally weak areas of the premises. Schools and Centers must ensure safe drinking water, proper sanitation, and cleanliness. Adequate fogging and vector control measures must also be carried out. In case any institution cannot reopen due to local conditions, alternate buildings may be arranged in consultation with the respective SDM. Where not feasible, online or other alternative learning modes should be adopted to avoid disruption of studies.
