Ludhiana, June 2, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) recently hosted a highly engaging and insightful workshop on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern manufacturing. The session focused on how AI is revolutionizing industrial practices by enhancing operational efficiency, enabling predictive maintenance, and driving automation, thereby improving overall productivity and significantly reducing costs.

The workshop covered a wide range of critical topics. Discussions began with the application of machine learning in production processes and real-time data analysis. This was followed by insights into deep learning, emphasizing AI-driven quality control systems and intelligent manufacturing solutions. Participants explored the role of generative AI, with a focus on natural language processing and the capabilities of various foundation models.

Another key area of discussion was prompt engineering and a comparative analysis between OpenAI tools and proprietary AI solutions. The workshop also addressed the importance of security and compliance frameworks for industries and presented suggested proprietary models to tackle sector-specific challenges. In addition, the integration of AWS tools into routine industrial operations was demonstrated, showcasing how cloud-based solutions are enhancing efficiency across different verticals.

The session delved into the integration of AI across systems such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things), and Augmented Reality, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of how AI is embedded into advanced industrial ecosystems. The workshop further explored safety and quality assurance steps enabled through Virtual Reality devices equipped with built-in AI functionality. Real-life case studies were also shared, illustrating the practical use and impact of Augmented Reality in modern manufacturing settings.
