Administration felicitates 42 women BLOs for exemplary contribution to Pre-SIR voter mapping exercise

Ludhiana, March 11, 2026: In recognition of their dedicated and outstanding performance, the district administration on Wednesday felicitated 42 women Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for their exemplary role in successfully carrying out the pre-Special Intensive Revision (pre-SIR) mapping of the electoral rolls.
The appreciation ceremony was held at Bachat Bhawan, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Poonam Singh presented certificates of appreciation to the honourees. Singh commended the BLOs for their enthusiastic participation, meticulous fieldwork, and unwavering commitment to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the voter list updation process.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Poonam Singh highlighted the pivotal role played by these women BLOs in door-to-door verification, voter engagement, and data mapping. She added that their tireless efforts, have significantly contributed to the smooth execution of this important electoral exercise in the district. She also stressed that empowering and recognizing such dedicated grassroots workforce, especially women, reinforces the commitment to inclusive and efficient election management.
