Actor Ankit Mohan Joins &TV’s Supernatural Comedy Gharwali Pedwali as Yaksha!
&TV’s light-hearted family comedy show Gharwali Pedwali continues to surprise audiences with exciting twists, emotions, and humour. Adding a fresh supernatural intrigue to the storyline is the entry of the talented and versatile Ankit Mohan, who steps into the show as Yaksha, a mysterious ghost disguised as a human named Maddy. His character brings a gripping blend of suspense, humour, and emotional depth, while also carrying a strong connection to Latika’s (Priyamvada Kant) past.
Speaking about joining the show, actor Ankit Mohan aka Yaksha/Maddy shares, “When I first heard about the character, I was instantly intrigued because it has so many layers. On the surface, Maddy enters the story as Jeetu’s friend, someone who seems charming, easy-going, and perfectly normal. But beneath that human identity lies Yaksha, a ghost with a past that is deeply connected to Latika. That duality is what excited me the most as an actor. Gharwali Pedwali has a wonderful mix of comedy, fantasy, and emotions, and being able to play a character who exists between the supernatural and the human world is both challenging and exciting.” Expressing more about his entry, he further adds, “What I really enjoyed is that Yaksha is not just a typical ghost character. He carries memories, emotions, and unresolved feelings from the past. His entry as Maddy slowly starts revealing pieces of that story. At the same time, since the show has a strong comedic tone, there are many fun moments that come from him trying to blend into the human world. That contrast between mystery and humour makes the role very interesting for me.” He further shares, “I believe Yaksha’s presence will bring a new twist to the narrative. His connection with Latika will gradually unfold and add emotional depth, while his friendship with Jeetu will keep the story entertaining and unpredictable. The entire cast has been incredibly warm and welcoming, and the energy on set perfectly reflects the fun spirit of the show. I’m really looking forward to audiences discovering the mystery behind Yaksha and enjoying this new track.”
