Active Citizen Participation Strengthens Democracy Further: DC Sachin Gupta

Rohtak, January 25, 2026: On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, the district administration Rohtak organized a program at Lal Nath Hindu College, Rohtak. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta administered the Democracy Pledge to district officers, employees and citizens.
The Deputy Commissioner said that Indian democracy becomes stronger through active participation of citizens. He emphasized that it is the duty of every citizen to exercise their voting right freely, fairly and peacefully, without fear, inducement or pressure. Voting, he said, is not only a right but also a responsibility towards democracy.
DC Sachin Gupta appealed to all voters to participate enthusiastically in all upcoming elections and to spread the message “Nothing is like voting, we will definitely vote” to the masses. Various voter awareness activities were also organized during the program.
District Election Tehsildar Sarla Kaushik was present as the special guest. College Principal Dr. Anil Taneja gave the welcome address. Dr. Praveen Sharma and Dr. Deepti Sharma conducted the stage. Activities related to voter awareness were also organized during the program, and a pledge was taken to strengthen democracy. Students presented cultural performances based on the theme of National Voters' Day. The attendees were administered the voter's oath.
