ACS (Taxation) Punjab A Venu Prasad congratulates Bhupinder Basant

Ludhiana: Additional Chief Secretary (Taxation) Punjab A Venu Prasad on Tuesday visited the Chandigarh office of Punjab Traders Board and greeted Bhupinder Basant on becoming the Senior Vice Chairman of the Board.

On this occasion, Basant spoke openly on the problems of the traders. A Venu Prasad expressed hope that the Punjab Traders Board would act as a bridge between the state government and the traders.

Giving information here today, Basant said that he is in constant touch with all the traders of Punjab who are paying taxes in the form of excise or GST. He said he is actively working after getting feedback from the traders. He said the Board is acting as a strong bridge between the State Government and the traders.

 

Basant strongly appealed to the traders to come openly before the Board to solve their problems and for this they can contact them anytime. He clarified that it is not necessary that the problem pertains only to the Excise and Taxation Department. The trader can come to him with any problem related to any department.

 

Lauding the Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Basant said that the state government has always given priority to the interests of the traders’ community as traders are the backbone of the economy of any state. He said that no state can progress without the cooperation of the traders. That is why the Chief Minister's thinking is that the problems of  the traders should be solved on priority basis, for which the Board is making continuous efforts.

He said that the Chairman of the Board, Puneet Saini Pinta and the Directors were also present in the meeting held in Chandigarh yesterday.
