AAP Government has created Emergency-like situation in Punjab – Rajnish Dhiman
BJP workers burn effigies of AAP Government in six assembly constituencies of Ludhiana

Ludhiana, August 22, 2025: In protest against the high-handedness of the Punjab government towards BJP leaders, effigies of the Punjab government were burnt today in six assembly constituencies of Ludhiana under the directions of District BJP President Rajnish Dhiman.
In Ludhiana North Assembly, the effigy was burnt at Lord Mahavir Chowk, Haibowal, in the presence of former District President Parveen Bansal and BJP Office Secretary Parveen Sharma. In West Assembly, the protest was held at Ghumar Mandi in the presence of State Core Group member Jiwan Gupta and District Vice President Lucky Chopra. In Atam Nagar Assembly, effigies were burnt at Dugri Chowk in the presence of former MLA Prem Mittal and District Spokesperson Surinder Kaushal. In South Assembly, the protest was held at Gyaspura Chowk in the presence of District President Rajnish Dhiman and Dr. Nirmal Nayyar. In East Assembly, the protest was organised at Jodhewal Basti Chowk in the presence of State Vice President Jatinder Mittal and District Vice President Lucky Sharma. In Central Assembly, the protest took place outside the office of Punjab BJP Treasurer and In-charge of Central Constituency Gurdev Sharma Debi, in the presence of District Secretary Ankit Batra.
On this occasion, Rajnish Dhiman said that under the rule of the AAP government, an Emergency-like situation has been created in Punjab. He alleged that the Bhagwant Singh Mann government is unable to tolerate the growing public support for the BJP, and that is why common people are being deprived of the benefits of Modi government’s welfare schemes.
He further said that BJP had planned to organize 1,444 camps across 1,500 villages in Punjab to connect the poor, women, and farmers with central government schemes, but the AAP government forcibly shut down 39 camps and took BJP workers into custody. “This is absolutely absurd,” Dhiman added. “If BJP is trying to inform people about their rights at the grassroots level, why is AAP objecting to it? Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government is not doing anything for the poor, and at the same time, it is creating hurdles in ensuring that people get the benefits of central government schemes.”
On this occasion, BJP leaders including State President of Vyapar Prakoshth Dinesh Sarpal, District General Secretary Narinder Singh Malli, Yashpal Janotra, Harkesh Mittal, Leader of BJP Councillors Poonam Ratra, Deputy Leader Rohit Sikka, Councillor Rajesh Mishra, Happy Sherpuria, former Councillor Gurdeep Singh Neetu, Nirmal Singh S.S., and Mandal Presidents Rakesh Jaiswal, Balwinder Syal, Rajeev Verma, Himanshu Kalra, Gurnam Singh, Manga Singh, Taranjit Singh, Vijay Suri, Vicky Sahota, Aman Kumra, Kapil Katyal along with hundreds of BJP workers participated in the effigy-burning protests against the Punjab government.
