Ludhiana, June 1, 2025: In a significant boost to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Ludhiana, BJP leader Mandeep Bhanot, along with a large group of supporters, officially joined AAP on Friday. Punjab AAP President Aman Arora, Working President Shery Kalsi, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, and several AAP MLAs were present to welcome the new members into the party.

Mandeep Bhanot, a prominent figure in Ludhiana’s political landscape, has served in key roles, including Ex-Circle President of Ludhiana West and Vice President of Malwa Zone for Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). Additionally, he contested the Ludhiana Corporation Elections in 2018 as a SAD-BJP candidate and had been Ward Incharge for BJP since 2018.

Speaking on the occasion, Aman Arora said, “This marks another milestone in AAP's journey as influential leaders and their supporters place their faith in the party’s vision for Punjab. Mandeep Bhanot's decision to join AAP reflects growing public trust in our governance and policies.”

Mandeep Bhanot, addressing the gathering, highlighted his reasons for leaving BJP and SAD, citing the lack of commitment to addressing the issues faced by common citizens. “AAP’s relentless focus on transparency, governance, and the welfare of the people inspired me to join. In addition to Bhanot, several prominent figures from Ludhiana also joined AAP, including Sandeep Bhanot, Karan Bhanot, Arjun Bhanot, Bhanu Thakur, Sharyra Thakur, Namish Budhiraja, Vedant Mehra, Manish Gupta, Joginder Pal Grover, Harvinder Grewal, Sachin Sharma, Vishal Jain, Vijay Sen, Gurashish Bhangu, Davinder Ghai, Mohan Lal Gupta, Raj Kumar Gupta, Lovneesh Chugh, Harpreet, Ram Kumar Ghai, and Ashu Arora.

Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh welcomed the new members, stating, “This development showcases the strength and appeal of AAP’s pro-people policies. We are committed to building a corruption-free and progressive Punjab.”
