Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that in a major step towards strengthening academic excellence and competitive exam preparation in government schools, the district administration will launch the Super-40 program from April 1st, 2026. This program will run on the lines of the state government's Super-100 initiative. Under this program, selected Class 11 students will be provided free coaching for the NEET and JEE exams by subject experts.
Rohtak, March 10, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that in a major step towards strengthening academic excellence and competitive exam preparation in government schools, the district administration will launch the Super-40 program from April 1st, 2026. This program will run on the lines of the state government's Super-100 initiative. Under this program, selected Class 11 students will be provided free coaching for the NEET and JEE exams by subject experts.
Chairing a meeting to review the progress of the Education Department and the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration is fully committed to achieving the goals of the Nipun Bharat Mission and ensuring 100% basic learning proficiency among students up to Class III. Zero-period remedial classes are currently being conducted in 100% of the district's primary schools, providing students requiring additional academic support with the opportunity to revise and better understand the subjects.
The Deputy Commissioner said that school-wide assessment tests for Class III students will be conducted between March 16 and 25, consisting of both written and oral tests, to assess learning levels and competencies. Based on these results, learning gaps will be identified and targeted interventions will be implemented to achieve the goal of 100% grade proficiency. He also reviewed preparations for the annual assessment and directed officials to implement standardized revision papers and competency-based question papers in all schools.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of various educational initiatives being implemented in the district. Under the Saksham Elementary Program, faculty members from DIET Medina are regularly monitoring classes from Class IV to VIII, strengthening teaching methods, increasing student attendance, and improving learning outcomes. Rohtak has also achieved significant success under the Foundation Program. SPARK activities were conducted in several schools to promote experiential learning in science subjects. Students were encouraged to engage in project-based learning under the STEAM initiative.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Inspire Award-Manak program. Under this program, 44 students from Rohtak district have been selected for their innovative scientific ideas. Each selected student is being provided with a grant of ₹10,000 to develop a prototype, 28 of whom are from government schools. Currently, coaching for the Math Olympiad is being provided in 25 schools in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed vocational education initiatives under the NSQF. Currently, 7,651 students are being provided career-oriented education through 14 skill trades in 66 schools in the district. Since the launch of the Ullas program, run under the New India Literacy Mission, over 23,000 adult learners in the district have successfully passed the basic literacy and numeracy assessment tests.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the situation of out-of-school children in the district. Of the 287 identified children in the district, 172 have been re-enrolled, while the process for enrolling the remaining children is ongoing. He directed officials to ensure career counseling for Class 12 students in government schools, strengthen parent-teacher partnerships through regular PTM (Parental Teacher Interaction) meetings, and focus on activity-based learning to further improve academic outcomes.
