8th International Yoga Day celebrated in office of Ferozepur Cantonment Board

Ferozepur, June 21, 2022: The 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated in the office of the Ferozepur Cantonment Board. This year the theme of Yoga Day celebrations is “Yoga for Humanity” and around 25 crore people across the world are expected to take part in this global event.

Promila Jaiswal, CEO, Ferozepur Cantonment welcomed the Yogacharya Parbodh Monga and his team, along with Shri Amit Mahajan ADC(G), Babandeep Singh Walia, SDM Guruharsahai and Shri Abhishek Sharma, PCS. Around 400 people recorded their participation in the event with great enthusiasm.

Leading the yoga session today, the Yogacharya explained how the Yoga is a holistic approach to fitness and good health. Yogacharya taught about different AASANs of the Yoga and elaborated that how these AASANs when combined with pranayama and meditation help to keep a person physically fit, mentally healthy and spiritually awakened. Rakesh, an associate of the Yogacharya, also demonstrated the procedure of Neti Kriya, which a form of Hath-Yoga.

Apart from the active participation of the staff members of the CB, the general public also participated in this event. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the CEO.
