Jalandhar, January 26, 2024: Freedom in the Mind, Strength in the words, Pureness in our blood, Pride in our souls,zeal in our hearts, Let's salute our India on Republic Day.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tri color flag by Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, the students saluted the National Flag and pledged up to hold the honour and integrity.

Satish Kumar ( Social Science Department) rendered an impactful speech highlighting the importance of the constitution and it's unique features such as sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and Republic enshrined in the preamble of the constitution.

A plethora of activities were organised to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students.

The students of main block brought the stage alive with their passion and love of motherland through their wonderful speeches. Kirti of 8B highlighted the needs and importance of Indian constitution followed by Abhijot Singh of 8 D who gave knowledgeable information about the contribution of Constituent Assembly. We also had an inspiring speech on amazing facts of Constitution by Ansh Narang and Nishita of 9B
The school premises reverberated with patriotic favour and enthusiasm as students of pre-primary and primary presented cultural items.

They enthusiastically presented a medley of patriotic songs taking pride in glorifying and celebrating the essence of unity and kindle the spirit of patriotism. Also, some students participated at Tehsil level celebration held at Govt.Boys School, Phillaur.

School Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir inspired the students with his motivational words and told all the students to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill their duties as responsible citizens. The event concluded with the rendition of National Anthem.
