55+ Students from Global Schools Group Steal the Spotlight at Band-It 2025 Finale
Global Schools Group (GSG) successfully co-hosted the Grand Finale of Band-It 2025, India’s largest inter-school performing arts competition, at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir, Bandra.
Mumbai, January 19, 2026: Global Schools Group (GSG) successfully co-hosted the Grand Finale of Band-It 2025, India’s largest inter-school performing arts competition, at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir, Bandra. The finale marked the conclusion of a nationwide contest and brought together some of the country’s most talented young musicians for an evening of high-quality performances and creative expression, with a total of 20+ performances showcased, making it one of the most vibrant and diverse editions of Band-It to date.
Organised in collaboration with Furtados School of Music, the event witnessed record-breaking participation, bringing together over 400 schools and more than 5,000 student performers from across the country. The national finale featured 265 student performers, of which an impressive 56 were from GSG schools—underscoring a strong and proud representation at the highest level of the competition. This wide reach made the 2025 edition one of the most dynamic and inclusive in the festival’s history.
The evening was further elevated by the presence of the celebrated musical band Sanam, acclaimed playback singer Shaan, and the renowned choreographer and performer Terence Lewis as Special Guests. Their presence added excitement and inspiration to the event, as they applauded the students’ performances and encouraged young talent pursuing creative paths through the performing arts.
The Grand Finale featured nine bands, eight group dance performances, and two group speech and drama competitions, with students demonstrating exceptional versatility across artistic formats. The evening also included special performances across both group and solo categories, spanning singing, instrumental music, dance, and speech and drama presentation, adding depth and variety to the programme.
CS Howlers from CS Academy, Chennai, were crowned winners of Band-It 2025 and received a ₹50,000 voucher. GIIS Rappers from Global Indian International School, Hadapsar secured the first runner-up position with a ₹25,000 voucher, while Rhythmators, representing multiple schools from Mumbai, emerged as second runners-up and received a ₹15,000 voucher.
In the Group Dance category, Nritya Dhara from Glendale Academy Suncity won the top honour with a ₹25,000 cash prize, followed by Dancing Dynasty from Vikaasa World School, Madurai, which received a ₹15,000 cash prize. In the Group Speech and Drama category, Vibgyor Stars from Vibgyor Rise Pune School were recognised with the winner’s trophy.
The finale also recognised outstanding individual talent, with solo winners across singing, instrumental music, dance, and speech and drama honoured for their exceptional performances. Students from Global Indian International School campuses, Vikaasa schools, Witty International School, OWIS, and Glendale institutions were among those acknowledged, highlighting the depth of individual artistic excellence nurtured across participating schools.
