3rd day of Punjab Natya Mahotasava – theatre festival organized in collaboration with NZCC at Apeejay

Jalandhar, August 28, 2019: On the third day of Punjab Natya Mahotasava – a Theatre Festival organized in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (NZCC) at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar; the artists of The Theatre Persons, Amritsar enacted a play “Suchi Saanjh” directed and written by Sh. Hardeep Gill. The play narrated a saga of wife whose significant other ditched her and left for abroad where he settled down with foreigner. With the help of her father-in-law, she reached at his new home in abroad. Seeing her unexpectedly, to avoid the mess with 2nd wife, the husband drops his wife and children from India at his friend's place with the promise to come back soon and take her with him when possible. However this could not happen and then begins the journey of wife and children on a foreign land where the humanity gets into action when a complete stranger helps her and takes care of her children. The play emphasizes the idea that sometimes complete strangers extends more kindness and humanity than own family. On the third day of this Mega Theatre Festival, NZCC, Director Dr. Saubhagya Vardan's wife Kadambari Vardan presided the event as a chief guest. Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma warmly welcomed her and considered it a privilege to have such art lovers as Mrs. Kadambari Vardhan in the college. She congratulated the artists for enacting and representing such powerful message in the society through the medium of play in the most powerful manner.
