39TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY CONCLUDED AT APEEJAY

Jalandhar, February 20, 2019: Apeejay College of Fine Arts successfully concluded 39th Annual Convocation Ceremony in which Binay Kumar Jha, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region, featured as the Chief Guest. Also, present on the occasion were Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society, Board of Governors Mr.Nirmal Mahajan and Mrs.Shobha Kausar. Addressing the occasion, Principal Dr Sucharita welcomed the dignitaries and presented the Annual report of the College. Binay Kumar Jha addressed the young brigade of Apeejay and exhorted on them to be responsible citizens and raised environmental concerns for sustainable development and environmental protection. Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society, motivated the ignited minds to go beyond education and dare to dream big. Citing an example from personal experience, she emphasized the significance of self confidence and initiative. Worth mentioning that 300 Graduates and Postgraduates obtained their degrees in this Ceremony. Besides this, the galaxy of dignitaries also felicitated 54 meritorious, 4 IIIrd, 24 IInd and 26 Ist position holders and achievers of semester-end University examinations. Principal Dr.Sucharita congratulated the degree holders and appreciated Dr. Sunit Kaur, Mrs. Rajni Kumar and Ms. Simkee Dev for conducting the stage smoothly. Dr. Sunit Kaur, Registrar and Head, Department of English, delivered the vote of thanks. Principal Dr. Sucharita lauded the efforts of Mrs. Supreet Talwar, Dean Functions, In-charges Dr. Roopali Sood and Dr. Manisha Sharma for successful completion of the Convocation ceremony.
